PocDoc and PocDoc Pro — Vital Signs Solutions Ltd

Last updated: July 2026 · Version 1

This Cookie Policy explains how Vital Signs Solutions Ltd ("we", "us", "our") uses cookies and similar technologies on the PocDoc website. It should be read alongside our Privacy Notice, which explains how we handle any personal data collected through these technologies. By "cookies" we also mean similar technologies such as pixels, tags and browser storage.

What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They allow the site to recognise your device, remember your preferences, and understand how the site is being used. Similar technologies — such as pixels, tags and browser storage — work in a comparable way and are covered by this policy.

Your consent

Strictly necessary cookies are set automatically because the site cannot function without them. All other cookies — including the analytics and advertising cookies described below — are only placed on your device with your prior consent.

When you first visit our site you will see a cookie banner. You can accept all cookies or decline all non-essential cookies. No non-essential cookies are set until you choose to accept them. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time (see "Managing your cookies" below), and withdrawing consent is as easy as giving it.

Categories of cookies we use

Our non-essential categories are analytics and advertising, alongside the strictly necessary cookies required to run the site and to complete a purchase.

Strictly necessary cookies

These are essential for the website to work — for example, keeping the site secure and remembering your cookie choices. They do not require consent and cannot be switched off through our banner.

Checkout (Shopify)

Our checkout is provided by Shopify. When you use the buy button or continue to checkout, Shopify sets its own cookies that are necessary to create your basket and process your order securely. These are set by Shopify as a third party and are governed by Shopify's own privacy and cookie policy. They are only set when you choose to start a purchase, and are strictly necessary to provide the checkout you have asked for.

Analytics cookies (consent required)

We use PostHog to understand how visitors interact with our site so we can improve it — for example, which pages are visited and how features are used. These cookies are only set if you accept analytics cookies.

  • ph_*_posthog — PostHog (first-party analytics). Identifies a returning visitor and stores analytics/session state to measure site usage. Analytics · 12 months.
  • Session storage — PostHog. Temporary in-browser storage used to group events within a single visit. Analytics · session only.

Advertising cookies (consent required)

We use Google Ads to measure how our advertising performs and to attribute purchases back to the advert that brought you to us, so we can spend our advertising budget more effectively. Because our checkout runs on a separate domain (Shopify), the Google tag also links your visit across our site and the checkout, so a completed purchase can be matched to the advert you originally clicked. These cookies are only set if you accept cookies in the banner.

  • _gcl_* — Google (Ads conversion linker). Stores an advertising click identifier so a later purchase can be attributed to the advert you clicked, and preserves it across our site and the Shopify checkout. Advertising · up to 90 days.

Cookie names and durations are indicative and may vary as providers update their technologies; the categories and purposes above reflect how we use them.

Third-party cookies

Some cookies are set by third parties rather than by us directly. Our checkout provider, Shopify, sets its own cookies when you start a purchase (see "Checkout" above). If you accept advertising cookies, Google sets cookies to help us measure our advertising and attribute purchases to the adverts you clicked. Shopify and Google each control their own cookies under their respective privacy and cookie policies (Shopify; Google).

Managing your cookies

You can accept all or decline non-essential cookies when you first visit the site, and change your choices at any time through the cookie settings link on our website. You can also control or delete cookies through your browser settings. Blocking some cookies may affect how parts of the site work, though strictly necessary cookies cannot be disabled through our banner.

Cookies and your personal data

Where cookies collect information that identifies you, that data is processed in line with our Privacy Notice. Our legal basis for setting non-essential cookies, and for any related processing, is your consent. You can withdraw that consent at any time.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the technologies we use or in the law. We will post any updated version on our website and revise the version number and date above.
